A Socio-Economic Reformer and Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Hadiza Bala Usman, who had been publicly adjudged to be just and fair in the running of NPA concerning her relationship with internal and external stakeholders of the Authority, clocks 42 years on January 2nd, 2018 restoring the yearslong lost rightful belongings (glory/resources) of NPA to it for the benefit of the citizenry.
Hadiza Bala Usman, a detribalized, fearless, just, fair, champion of the course of the weak- especially the oppressed children and women have proved her detractors wrong, who were skeptical with respect to her capability to perform on the job when appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari, that not only she could perform, but also blocking sources of revenue leakages; getting back Nigeria’s lost revenue/assets and improving Port economic and infrastructural conditions.
There is no doubting the fact that good works are often deceptively criticized by mischievous makers, while not against constructive criticism, but the fact remains that Nigerians know the truth, just as our highly revered Yoruba elders say: (Egan, kope ki oyin madun) English meaning (Envy can never change the natural sweet taste of honey to bitterness).
(Ibaje eniyan ko da ise Oluwa duro) English meaning (Scandalous acts against a person can never stop the fulfillment of God’s destiny on the person).
