The Ooju Sasu and Olubode of Mopa land, Chief Michael Kayode Ajayi, has donated 10 multipurpose hospital beds and other healthcare materials to Mopa General Hospital as part of his usual social welfare activities to improve the healthcare of his people in Mopa Land and his environs, TRADE NEWSWIRE reports.
Other materials donated by Ajayi, a social philanthropist to Mopa General Hospital included 10 mattresses, 10 pillows and bed-sheets.
[Social welfare]: includes those nonprofit functions of society, public or voluntary, which are clearly aimed at alleviating distress and poverty or at ameliorating the conditions of the casualties of society.
Ajayi, an illustrious son of Mopa in Kogi State of Nigeria, was a two-time former General-Manager, Public Affairs and General Manger, Administration of the Nigerian Ports Authority; also a one-time General Manager, Human Resources; and General Manager, Western Ports of NPA, is also the Aare Gbeluniyi of Ekinrin Adde land and the Adegboye of Ogidi land.
In attendance to receive and commission the hospital beds were His Royal Majesty Oba Julius Joledo, members of Mopa traditional council, my wife Olori Toyin Bola Ajayi, Mrs Dupe Ekundayo and Chief Mrs Abiola Are as well as the hospital officials.
Chief Ajayi , (Baba-Oloye pupo, Olowo ori Olori Toyin ) English meaning (A father who holds many chieftaincy titles and the husband of Chief Mrs Toyin), once provided reading glasses to over 1,500 people of 40 years and above in Mopa and surrounding villages in Kogi State.
