Socio-Economic reformer Hadiza Usman of NPA adds another year on earth impactfuly

(TRADE NEWSWIRE): Hadiza! Where are you? i could see you are engulfed with the Nigerian Ports Authority’s work, could you please look up? It’s your birthday; the gift is yours, TRADE NEWSWIRE reports.

Yoruba elders say (Bi omi ba baa ile, omi a ni ipa; bi ojo ba baa ile, ojo a ta sa raa sa raa) English meaning (If water pours on  ground, its impact is felt by soil; and if rain falls on the ground, it splashes everywhere impacting the land).

That is the metaphoric effect of Hadiza Bala Usman, the Managing Director of NPA on the agency since appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari to takeover the mantle of leadership therein on  Monday 11th of July 2016.

The first of the missing Nigerian schoolgirls to be rescued since their capture in Chibok two years ago meets President Muhammadu Buhari flanked on the right hand side by the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority who is also one of the leading crusaders of the Bring Back Our Girls campaign, Hadiza Usman and left hand side by the Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima ; with Amina Ali Nkeki with her child in Abuja.

There is no gainsaying the fact that Hadiza Usaman’s appointment to such a strategic position and agency has been impactful in view of person and action-oriented reforms she had since embarked upon. It is instructive to note that Hadiza, a woman, was appointed to manage, reform and tackle the challenges facing the nation’s ports when Nigeria is in economic recession and not when the state of the economy was otherwise.

However, her performance, since she took over the mantle of leadership is closely monitored by private and public sector stakeholders in the maritime sector and had not been in any way discredited inspite of her young age. This is a a pointer to the fact that Hadiza was well brought up from childhood to take up leadership responsibility of such. She is indeed young in age but elderly upstairs i.e in intelligence.

The Managing Director of NPA, Ms. Hadiza Bala Usman, centre, General Manager, Public Affairs, NPA, Chief Michael Ajayi (r) and officials of Intels and NPA during the tour of Intels facilities at Onne Free Zone.

This is no doubt, a role, played by her parent, as it was learnt that her respected father, late Prof. Yusufu Bala Usman, a renowned Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) academician, historian and activist trained and nurtured her for leadership position from childhood, as she grew up on ABU campus under the watchful eyes of her father who was a staff over there.

Hadiza’s contributions so far to the country ‘SOCIALLY’-being one of the leading crusaders of the Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) campaign and now ‘ECONOMICALLY’- as the Managing the Director of NPA, among other previously held positions of authority, thereby, qualifies her as a SOCIO-ECONOMIC REFORMER and deserving to be celebrated as she clocks 41 years on the surface of the earth on January 2nd, 2017.

Arrival of Nigerian Ports Authority management team headed by the Managing Director, Hadiza Bala Usman paid when a courtesy visit was paid on the Delta state Governor Okowa.

In view of the aforementioned, we can see as Yoruba elders say that:
