(TRADE NEWSWIRE): I wholeheartedly appeal to Nigerians to support President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, in his sincere drive to change the fortunes of Nigerians to good, TRADE NEWSWIRE reports.
Mind you, don’t think I am making this appeal because things are very rosy financially for me or that the government has given me money to this effect to build support for her, No!
Sincerely speaking, if you talk of the person that supposed to champion and lead a campaign against the government, I should be the one because of my economic situation.
But Nigeria is not about me alone, as a Journalist, I should be sincere being the Conscience of the Society as a matter of Journalism profession, and not to use the media prowess to pull down the government because of my personal situation alone without considering whether the generality of Nigerians are to gain or loose from it, be it in the short, medium or long term; and above all the sincere and pragmatic efforts of the government to brighten-up the economy.
The truth is that, the current state of Nigerian economy, as unpalatable it might seem but promissorily improving, is not the fault of President Buhari-who is working by the day to restore the nations’s long-lost economic glory, but I want to believe it is just the price we have to pay for a while to get the country out of the hood in restoring the nation’s economic glory, in as much the government is working on the right track to prosper the country and to no longer make it subservient to other nations.
I think what Nigerians should consider on whether to support the government are the following:
(1) Sincerity of purpose
(2) Policy trust of government i.e what the government policies intend to achieve
(4) Walking the talk
(5) Result achivable from intermitently-emanated test situations/ case studies in the government
-There is no gainsaying the fact that economic capability of the Government was recently tested with recession which plagued the nation, thank God we exited it, just as we hope to see the positive effect on the lives of Nigerians.
-Nigerians could see that government is also working the talk i.e implementing policies with respect to her agriculture, infrastructure among others e.g local rice production that has drastically reduced importation to mention a few.
Meanwhile, I urge all Nigerians to do the following to support one another at this crucial economic time, which will soon ease-off in no distant time owing to constant and continuous efforts of President Muhammadu Buhari-led government, while the government continue to discharge her duties in offering Good Governance to Nigerians aimed at improving the welfare of the people in the immediate and continue on the journey to take Nigeria to a greater height:
(1) Be sincere to youself as a Nigerian
(2) Lets be sincere to ourselves
(3) Lets be sincere to the government
(4) Lets be sincere to our country Nigeria
(5) Lets be patient with and pray for the government
(6) Lets be our brothers keepers, as President Buhari is neither my nor your next door neighbour, due to this. kindly render the needed assistance to your fellow Nigerians where required if affordable.
(7) Lets love one another truly regardless of our religion, tribes or associations.
While I also urge the government to further expedite action in addressing the practical economic challenges facing Nigeria and Nigerians on the street as published to Mr President on November 25, 2017, namely (1) INFLATED FOOD/ PRODUCT PRICES (2) SCARCITY OF MONEY i.e LOW PURCHASING POWER, as I believe the government is working to put the economy back to shape. (MR. PRESIDENT, YOU JUST HAVE TO ‘FLY’ TO ADDRESS THESE TWO IDENTIFIED CHALLENGES SPEEDILY TO AN END).
I urge you all to let us join hands together to support the government.
Thank you for your co-operation and understanding
May God Guide Our Leaders Right
NIGERIA SHALL BE GREAT AND PEACEFUL
